Charlize Theron, 50, Shows Off Her Natural Look While Trying Out the TikTok Chair Challenge
Charlize Theron Challenges Alex Honnold in Viral TikTok Chair Climbing Trend
Charlize Theron showcased her radiant, nearly makeup-free complexion while participating in a viral TikTok challenge on Friday. The renowned actress, known for her role in Mad Max: Fury Road, took on the chair climbing trend, inviting renowned climber Alex Honnold to join in the fun.
In a playful video posted on Netflix’s Instagram account, Theron attempted to navigate a black leather makeup chair as part of her challenge to Honnold. This comes ahead of his upcoming event, Skyscraper Live, where he will scale the 101-story Taipei 101 tower in Taiwan without any safety gear. Theron, in stark contrast, made her challenge light-hearted: climbing up the chair without touching the ground.
In the video shared on January 23, Theron initially struggled to maneuver around the chair’s chrome base and was seen inadvertently letting her foot touch the floor. Dressed in a sleek bun and a cozy black sweatshirt and sweatpants, she mused, “F*ck, that was so easy guys,” before jokingly asking the crew to digitally remove sandbags that were stabilizing the chair for the shot.
Theron then addressed Honnold directly, highlighting her training for a challenging climb in her upcoming film Apex. “But what is this I hear? You’re climbing Taipei 101? My friend, is there anything you won’t climb?” she quipped, displaying her subtle makeup with a hint of blush and tinted lip balm.
In response to Theron’s challenge, Honnold humorously warmed up to the idea by suggesting he boulder around a barstool in his room, stating, “So relaxing.” The playful exchange drew praise from fans, as Netflix described the collaboration as the “badass collab we didn’t know we needed.”
The lighthearted interaction between the two stars not only displays their playful camaraderie but also serves to engage their respective fans in a fun and unique way.
