Tuc Watkins, Daria Berenato, Thomas Dekker, and Brenna D’Amico Join Forces in the Comedy-Horror Film ‘Zombois’
Horror-Comedy ‘Zombois’ Set to Begin Production in Atlanta
Tuc Watkins, Daria Berenato, Thomas Dekker, and Brenna D’Amico are confirmed to star in the upcoming horror-comedy Zombois, directed by Garrett Abdo. Production is slated to begin this month in Atlanta.
The film follows a group of college seniors on break in the North Georgia Mountains, where they stumble upon a guarded secret and a contagion that transforms their holiday into a desperate struggle for survival. The cast also features Adam Huss and Aaron Goldenberg.
Abdo will produce the film alongside Glendon Palmer, Brian Yuran, and Michael Buttiglieri. Osvaldo Silvera has been appointed as the director of photography, while Jeremy O’Keefe is handling casting.
This project marks Abdo’s second feature film, following Exit Interviews, which also starred Watkins, Huss, and Dekker. Beyond filmmaking, Abdo is the managing partner of the Atlanta Comedy Theater, known for launching various U.S. stand-up acts.
“My last film, Exit Interviews, was deeply dramatic emotional therapy, so I wanted to follow it up with something totally on the opposite end of the spectrum—something fun and outrageous, so gay zombies felt like it fit the mold,” Abdo explained.
Watkins added, “Sexy, scary, and laugh-out-loud funny, Zombois is going to be one hell of a ride. I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
Casting representatives for the stars include Greene Talent and Karen Forman Management for Watkins, Luber Roklin Entertainment and AGMB for Berenato, Untitled for Dekker, and Formation and Zero Gravity for D’Amico.
