Trisha Addicks’ Sorority Recruitment Guide ‘The Rush Bible’ is Set for TV Adaptation with Eva Longoria as Executive Producer
Legendary TV Options Rights to Develop Series Based on Trisha Addicks’ "The Rush Bible"
Legendary TV has secured the rights to adapt Trisha Addicks’ debut book, The Rush Bible, into a new series. The book, which was released on Tuesday, serves as a practical guide for young women—and their parents—navigating the sorority recruitment process.
The upcoming series will delve into a fictional rush consulting firm, where expert coaches are hired for substantial fees to aid young women in their sorority recruitment journeys. It promises to unveil the intense and competitive landscape of sorority recruitment, a setting where identity, belonging, and sisterhood are significantly at stake.
"Trisha has crafted a story about power, identity, and belonging with remarkable authenticity and emotional complexity," stated Jason Clodfelter, President of TV at Legendary Entertainment. "We’re thrilled to collaborate with Eva Longoria, Hyphenate Media Group, and Trisha to bring this provocative and deeply human series to life.”
The project will see production led by Legendary and Hyphenate Media Group, with Longoria and Cris Abrego serving as executive producers alongside Addicks.
At the heart of The Rush Bible are themes that resonate universally, according to Longoria. "Trisha Addicks offers us a window into a world of ambition, identity, and the quest for belonging that resonates far beyond rush culture or even college campuses," she remarked. "We were immediately drawn to the emotional stakes at play and couldn’t be more excited to be developing this IP for television in partnership with Legendary."
Addicks, who founded her consultancy firm, It’s All Greek To Me, in 2017, is recognized as one of the leading sorority rush consultants in the country. Her firm provides personalized consulting services for young women during the highly competitive recruitment process, offering strategy guidance, interview coaching, wardrobe advice, and real-time support during rush.
Viewers may recognize Addicks from HBO Max’s 2023 documentary Bama Rush, which provided insight into the sorority recruitment process at the University of Alabama.
"When Legendary Entertainment came to me with their vision for The Rush Bible, I knew immediately this was the right home for it," Addicks said. "Their reputation speaks for itself, and the quality and intention they bring to everything they touch is exactly what this story deserves. To have Eva Longoria and her brilliant team producing—she understands the power of female-driven storytelling at the highest level—is an honor. I am beyond excited for what we are going to create together and have complete confidence that this team will bring this world to life the way it was always meant to be seen."
