In an impressive display of athleticism, Travis Kelce participated in the WM Phoenix Open pro-am on February 4, 2026, at TPC Scottsdale, Arizona. Although not in the running for the Super Bowl this season, the three-time champion showcased his skills on the golf course, captivating the audience.
Kelce’s highlight came on the par-3 16th hole, where his tee shot nearly found the hole, landing just a few feet away. Following this impressive shot, he celebrated in style by donning the WM’s gold chain.
At 36 years old, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end embraced the moment by mimicking a guitar performance with his golf putter, strumming as if in celebration. Golf Channel’s Eamon Lynch commented during the broadcast, “I think Taylor Swift is going to write a song about that one.”
Kelce’s engagement to Swift was announced in August 2025.

Kelce, a seasoned golfer, often plays during the NFL off-season. He previously participated in the 2025 American Century Championship alongside his brother, Jason Kelce, at Edgewood Tahoe Resort in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada. In a lighthearted moment, he was also spotted dancing to Swift’s hit song "Lavender Haze" during a celebrity golf tournament in 2024.
His talents extend beyond golf; Kelce recently showcased his skills in Happy Gilmore 2. Co-star Christopher McDonald, who reprised his role as Shooter McGavin, remarked that Kelce has “got game.” The film’s director, Kyle Newacheck, highlighted the advantage of Kelce’s athletic background, explaining, "He’s an athlete, so he knows the moment… He knows how to perform in the moment."
Kelce’s appearance at the Arizona event comes just days before the 2026 Super Bowl, marking a notable first in four years where the Chiefs will not participate, having been eliminated from playoff contention in December. As for his future in football, Kelce indicated on January 4 that he would take time with his family to deliberate, stating, "I’ve got so much love for this team, this organization and the people here, so I’ll spend some time with them, go through exit meetings tomorrow and get close to the family and figure things out.”
