Two Dead in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 210 Freeway
A tragic accident involving a big rig resulted in the deaths of two individuals on the 210 Freeway in the Sunland area Friday night, according to officials. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) received reports of a multi-vehicle collision shortly before 10 p.m.
The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that a 35-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man had to be extricated from their vehicles and were pronounced dead at the scene. The 43-year-old driver of the semi-truck opted not to seek medical attention, authorities reported.
Currently, the eastbound lanes of the freeway remain closed as a result of the crash. CHP officials estimated that the closure would last approximately one hour.
