Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer to Return for OneChicago Crossover Event
OneChicago is reuniting its team.
In a recently released teaser for next week’s Wednesday night crossover event on Chicago Med, actors Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer will reprise their roles as Hailey Upton and Jay Halstead.
The three-part crossover is set to air on March 4 from 8-11 p.m. ET/PT. In a departure from the usual schedule, the event will commence with Chicago Fire, followed by Chicago Med, and concluding with Chicago P.D..
After leaving Chicago P.D. in Season 11, Spiridakos will reconnect with her character, who has transitioned to a role as a Special Agent with the FBI. Upton’s return to Chicago is prompted by a drug enforcement case she’s working in Detroit.

Soffer departed from Chicago P.D. after a decade but has made guest appearances as a director. This crossover marks his first return as Halstead, who was last seen taking a position with the Army in Bolivia to track drug cartel targets. Notably, his undercover assignment aligns with the same case Upton is handling.
When Halstead left, he and Upton had just married, leaving her heartbroken. Reflecting on her own journey, she departed the series to pursue a new career with the FBI. As the crossover unfolds, fans are eager to see if the former couple can resolve their past tensions and strengthen their bond.
The logline for the crossover reads: Firehouse 51 is summoned to an airfield when a passenger jet suddenly loses communication mid-flight, sparking a high-stakes emergency. Their investigation unveils a more significant and deadly mystery, one that threatens lives beyond the runway.
Surprise returns are a hallmark of the OneChicago Universe, as evidenced by the return of Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) in Chicago Med’s landmark 200th episode.
Following this crossover, Spiridakos will take on the lead role in the new USA Network series Anna Pigeon. She portrays a former city resident turned park ranger in rural Washington, tackling her past while investigating crimes within national park boundaries.
