Theo Rossi, Mario Van Peebles, and Derek Wilson Star in WeBros’ Exciting Vampire Island Film ‘Young Blood’
Theo Rossi, Mario Van Peebles, and Derek Wilson Star in New Vampire Film ‘Young Blood’
Key Largo, FL – Theo Rossi, Mario Van Peebles, and Derek Wilson have signed on to headline the upcoming vampire-themed film Young Blood, which is currently in production under the direction of Ari Schlossberg.
The cast is rounded out by previously announced actors including Myles Truitt, Madison Wolfe, Marley Aliah, Genneya Walton, Alex Aiono, and Mitchell Hoog. This film is produced by WeBros Entertainment.
Young Blood tells the story of three college friends who travel to Key Largo for what they hope will be an unforgettable spring break. However, their plans take a dark turn when they find themselves stranded on a deserted island, being hunted by bloodthirsty vampires. Rossi, Van Peebles, and Wilson are set to portray the vampire godfathers in this genre film.
The executive producers for Young Blood include Matt Luber, Kelly Pendygraft, Brian Gottlieb, Celina and Sergio Borges Torrealba Carpi, and Arvin Scott. Michael Weiss, Andy Weiss, and Gregg Barbagallo are producing for WeBros Entertainment, while Babacar Diene of Paradigm is managing sales.
Andy Weiss, who co-wrote the film, has a notable writing history that includes Middle Men, Fight for ’84, and White Boy Rick, the latter in which Michael Weiss served as an executive producer. Michael Weiss has also produced Middle Men and the recent Russell Crowe film Beast in Me, in addition to the Muzzle franchise starring Aaron Eckhart.
Rossi has recently appeared in HBO Max/DC’s The Penguin, the Netflix film Carry On, and will also star alongside Ron Perlman in Come With Me. Other upcoming projects include The Underneath: In Fortune’s Shadow featuring Michael Rooker, and The Saviors, again with Perlman and Adam Scott.
Van Peebles is known for his roles in Clint Eastwood’s Heartbreak Ridge, New Jack City, and Ali, with his latest project being That One Beautiful Day, where he stars alongside Mira Sorvino.
Wilson has made a name for himself with roles in Hulu’s Future Man, Prime Video’s The Boys: Gen V, Warner Bros/DC’s Birds of Prey, and AMC’s Preacher.
Rossi is represented by Paradigm, Entertainment 360, and Shreck Rose Dapello. Van Peebles is represented by Buchwald and Luber Roklin, while Wilson is represented by Innovative Artists, Gartner Group, and Tisherman Gilbert Motely.
