Terry Bradshaw Skips Pike Place Fish Throw to Join Rob Gronkowski Ahead of NFC Championship in Seattle
Terry Bradshaw Makes First Public Appearance Since Health Scare
Terry Bradshaw’s athletic prowess was evident, albeit with some humorous hiccups, during his recent outing in Seattle. The legendary quarterback, joined by fellow Fox NFL Sunday analyst Rob Gronkowski, participated in the renowned fish-tossing tradition at Pike Place Market.
As the duo arrived in town ahead of the NFC Championship Game on January 25, they engaged with fans at the market. Gronkowski took his place behind the service counter while the 77-year-old Bradshaw attempted to toss a fish to him from a distance. Unfortunately, the fish fell short, bouncing off the counter, much to the amusement of bystanders who playfully ribbed the three-time Super Bowl champion.
Despite the misthrow, Bradshaw remained in good spirits, smiling through the crowd’s teasing. "One for Gronk!" shouted an enthusiastic fan, proudly sporting a Tom Brady New England Patriots jersey, before successfully tossing a fish to Gronkowski, who handled the catch with ease, raising it above his head like a trophy.
“Brady to Gronk once again,” Gronkowski humorously remarked, posing for a photo with the fan while holding the fish aloft.
As the playful antics concluded, Bradshaw and Gronkowski proceeded to host the Fox Sports pregame show prior to the highly anticipated matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams. This game marks the third face-off between the two rivals this season, with the stakes raised as both teams vie for an opportunity to compete in Super Bowl LX.
The previous meetings were tightly contested, each ending with narrow margins. The Rams edged the Seahawks in their November clash, winning 21-19, while Seattle triumphed in a thrilling overtime battle, 38-37, in December.
Speaking on the significance of the championship game, Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold noted, “Obviously it’s a big game. We understand the implications, but we have our process and we do everything the same as we have throughout the season.”
Darnold went on to express confidence in the supportive atmosphere created by Seahawks fans, known as the "12s," saying they “understand when to be quiet and when to be really loud.”
Adding to the excitement, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald emphasized the electric atmosphere expected at the stadium. “This place is going to be rocking,” he stated, highlighting the continuous support from their fan base. With the intensity of playoff competition ramping up, both the players and fans are primed for an unforgettable showdown.
