Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim Bring Rapunzel and Flynn to Life in Disney’s Live-Action Tangled

Disney has announced its lead casting for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Tangled, with Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim set to star as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, respectively.
Croft, a 21-year-old Australian actress, is recognized for her role as Raven in HBO Max’s DC series, Titans. Manheim, 24, son of actress Camryn Manheim, gained fame as Zed in the Disney Channel’s Zombies franchise.
Michael Gracey, known for directing The Greatest Showman, is slated to helm the new adaptation of Disney’s beloved 2010 animated film.
In October, reports surfaced indicating that Scarlett Johansson was in talks to portray Mother Gothel, the villainous character who captured Rapunzel in the original film, voiced by Donna Murphy.

Disney’s most recent live-action adaptation, Lilo & Stitch, grossed over $1 billion at the global box office last year. The studio is also developing other live-action versions, including Snow White featuring Rachel Zegler and The Little Mermaid with Halle Bailey.
As Tangled approaches its 10th anniversary in November 2020, Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi reunited in a commemorative video for Walt Disney Animation Studios. Moore expressed her gratitude, saying, “It was such an immense pleasure and joy… It’s just endless gratitude for all of the support people have shown the film over the years.”
