Taylor Swift is sending her congratulations to Olympic skier Breezy Johnson and her fiancé, Connor Watkins, after playing a notable role in their engagement story.
On Thursday, February 12, Swift shared a heartfelt comment on Johnson’s engagement announcement posted on Instagram. The announcement included a photo of Watkins proposing to Johnson at the finish line of the 2026 women’s Super-G race. Johnson showcased her engagement ring alongside a wooden box engraved with a line from Swift’s song “The Alchemy” — “Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?”
Swift responded by quoting additional lyrics from the track in her reply: “’Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me.’” She concluded her message with an enthusiastic “CONGRATULATIONS!!!”
The women’s downhill competition occurred on February 8 in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, during the ongoing 2026 Winter Games. Johnson, who clinched a gold medal for Team USA, shared in her engagement post, “Hey guys… meet Connor! My ex-boyfriend! And current fiancé!!! Thank you to everyone who made this moment possible. It was everything I ever dreamed of. Kind of like Connor!”
Swift, who is also engaged to Travis Kelce, has shown her support for the Olympics. Earlier this month, a video featuring her well-wishing the athletes aired during NBC’s opening ceremony for the Games.
In the video, Swift expressed her admiration for the athletes: “Getting to learn your stories, and seeing everything you sacrificed and all your determination and hard work and passion … it’s just really inspiring. I am very grateful for everything you’ve done to get to this point in your life and grateful that you’ve brought all of us along on this journey.”
