Nicole Kidman is embracing a renewed sense of optimism for the upcoming year after finalizing her divorce from Keith Urban. As she navigates this new chapter, Kidman is focusing on co-parenting their two teenage daughters, Sunday and Faith, and engaging fully in family life.
A source close to the actress shared, "Nicole spends a lot of time with her girls. She loves family time." Following the holidays spent in Australia, Kidman has returned to Nashville, where she is reportedly feeling "refreshed and optimistic" about her future. "They’re all settling back into their routine. Things have been calm," the source added.
Professionally, Kidman is gearing up for a busy year. "She’s looking ahead to a busy and exciting year professionally too, with several projects coming up," said the source, hinting at a diverse slate of work for the Oscar-winning actress.

Among her upcoming projects is the much-anticipated sequel to the 1998 film Practical Magic, set for release in September. Kidman will also star in notable television productions, including Prime Video’s Scarpetta, Apple TV’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles, and Season 3 of Paramount+’s Lioness. Additionally, she is involved in adaptations of Girls and Their Horses and Discretion, along with plans for a third season of Big Little Lies.
The announcement of her separation from Urban came in September 2025, following 19 years of marriage. While sources indicated that Kidman "didn’t want this" and had been "fighting to save the marriage," details from insiders suggested she was deeply hurt and felt betrayed by the split.
Reflecting on her experiences, Kidman recently shared insights on aging and resilience in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. She emphasized the importance of facing life’s challenges and expressed a belief that healing is possible, stating, "There’s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through." Kidman also acknowledged the necessity of processing sorrow, advising, “You’re not going to be able to numb it…but if you move gently and slowly, it does pass.”
