Tyra Banks Hints at the Return of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ Cycle 25: There’s More to Come
As the docuseries Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model prepares to delve into past controversies surrounding the series, discussions about a potential return of the fashion competition show are gaining momentum.
The three-part Netflix docuseries, which premieres on February 16, features ANTM creator and host Tyra Banks, who hinted at the possibility of bringing back the show for Cycle 25, nearly eight years after its final season aired on VH1 in 2018.
“After the show, I had so many different ideas for my life. I’m obsessed with pivoting. And I live in Australia now,” Banks stated in the third episode of Reality Check, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. “I feel like my work is not done. You have no idea what we have planned for Cycle 25.”
Directed by Mor Loushy and Daniel Sivan, Reality Check includes interviews with Banks, producer Ken Mok, and judges Jay Manuel, J. Alexander (also known as Miss J), and Nigel Barker. The series also features conversations with former contestants and winners, such as Whitney Thompson, Giselle Samson, Shannon Stewart, Shandi Sullivan, Dani Evans, and Keenyah Hill.

Banks launched America’s Next Top Model in 2003 during the height of her modeling career. The series sought to find the next big face in the fashion industry, offering the winner a contract with a top agency, a feature in a prominent magazine, and a $100,000 deal with cosmetic brands such as CoverGirl.
In recent years, as fans have revisited the series, it has faced criticism for its handling of various issues, including sexual harassment, body-shaming, multiple instances of blackface, and Banks’ notorious scolding of Tiffany Richardson during an elimination round.
