Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison: First Teaser Introduces Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, and a Surprise Cast Member
Michelle Pfeiffer Stars in Taylor Sheridan’s Upcoming Series, The Madison
In the first teaser for The Madison, a new family drama from acclaimed filmmaker Taylor Sheridan, Michelle Pfeiffer’s character, Stacy Clyburn, expresses her profound sense of loss, stating, “My center, my soul is gone.” The teaser premiered during the Season 2 finale of another Sheridan series, Landman, airing on Paramount+.
The trailer reveals additional details, including the introduction of New York City-based therapist Phil Yorn, portrayed by Will Arnett, who is set to become a recurring guest star. In a pivotal moment, he tells Stacy, “You will heal if you let yourself.”
To facilitate her healing, the Clyburn family relocates from New York City to the Madison River valley in central Montana. The transition appears to be significant, as suggested by a Native American-themed exchange in the teaser.
The teaser also highlights Stacy’s husband, Preston Clyburn, played by Kurt Russell, suggesting his role is central to Stacy’s emotional turmoil.
The Madison, described as Sheridan’s most intimate work to date, focuses on themes of grief and human connection. The narrative unfolds across Montana and Manhattan, delving into complex family dynamics.
As previously announced, the six-episode first season is set to premiere on March 14 on Paramount+, with a second season already completed. The streaming platform also released initial images ahead of the debut.
Alongside Pfeiffer and Russell, the series features an ensemble cast that includes Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, and Matthew Fox.
Produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions, The Madison is executive produced by Sheridan along with David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Voros, Michael Friedman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, and Keith Cox.
