Stephen Lang, Sam Worthington, and Luke Bracey Cast in 1950s Crime Thriller Eyes Along The Valley at Cannes Market
Stephen Lang and Sam Worthington Join Forces in New Crime Thriller "Eyes Along the Valley"
In a notable collaboration following the success of James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, actors Stephen Lang and Sam Worthington are set to reunite in the upcoming crime-thriller Eyes Along the Valley, alongside co-star Luke Bracey of Hacksaw Ridge.
Directed by Kriv Stenders, known for his work on Danger Close, the film is preparing for its worldwide sales launch ahead of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
Eyes Along the Valley brings together Worthington and Bracey, who co-wrote the screenplay with Johnny McCoy and Timothy Burnett. This project marks another collaboration with director Stenders and producers John and Michael Schwarz, following their Vietnam War drama Danger Close.
In this gripping narrative, Worthington and Bracey portray Pollock and McArthur, tenacious veteran detectives navigating the challenges of 1950s Australia. Their investigation into a series of missing person cases leads them to a vast, remote ranch in the Outback. There, they unwittingly confront a cunning serial killer, played by Lang, who has remained hidden for decades, preying on their vulnerabilities as they become ensnared in his deadly web.
Filming for Eyes Along the Valley is scheduled to take place in New South Wales, Australia, with exact dates yet to be confirmed.
The film will be produced by John and Michael Schwarz of Deeper Water Films, along with Timothy Burnett and Erin Moy for Entropico, and Luke Bracey. Natalie Coleman is serving as the executive producer.
Post-production will be handled by Sydney’s Spectrum Films, featuring a talented crew that includes director of photography Thomaz Labanca, production designer Sam Hobbs, sound designer Sam Hayward, and editor Veronika Jenet.
Kriv Stenders has gained recognition for the hit Red Dog franchise, which remains one of Australia’s top-grossing films. His directorial portfolio also includes The Correspondent, the ABC series Jack Irish, and Kill Me Three Times.
Calum Gray from Architect remarked on the film’s captivating atmosphere and character depth, stating that it will keep audiences engaged throughout. Stenders expressed his excitement about the project, highlighting Lang’s compelling role and the film’s blend of tension and action, likening it to classic detective thrillers.
Stephen Worthington is represented by WME, Shanahan Management, and Anonymous Content; Luke Bracey is represented by UTA and Fourward; and Stephen Lang is represented by Innovative Artists.
