Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer Breaks Records with Nearly 719 Million Global Views, Surpassing Deadpool & Wolverine
Sony and Marvel Studios have achieved a remarkable milestone with the trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which garnered an astounding 718.6 million views within its first 24 hours, setting a new record for the most viewed trailer in cinematic history ahead of the film’s release on July 31.
The Brand New Day trailer surpassed the previous record held by Deadpool & Wolverine, reaching 373 million views in just eight hours. For context, Deadpool & Wolverine achieved the same number of views globally in 24 hours.
Additionally, the trailer exceeded the 24-hour record established by Grand Theft Auto VI, which accumulated 475 million views upon its release in 2025, previously heralded as the largest video launch in history. In comparison, the trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, which ultimately earned $1.9 billion at the global box office in 2021, reached 355.5 million views within its first day.
Following the unprecedented success of No Way Home, the upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day ushers in a new era for Peter Parker. Set four years after the events of No Way Home, Peter is now an adult living in solitude, having chosen to erase himself from the lives and memories of those he cares about. As he dedicates himself to crime-fighting in a New York City that no longer recognizes him, escalating pressures lead to a surprising transformation that poses a significant threat to his very existence amid the emergence of formidable new criminal activities.
