Southern California Set for a Cooler Weekend with Light Rain予
Weather Forecast for Saturday, April 25: Cool and Breezy Conditions Expected in Southern California
LOS ANGELES – A weak late-season storm system is bringing a noticeable cooling trend to Southern California this weekend, resulting in light rain and breezy conditions across the region, according to the National Weather Service.
Daytime temperatures are predicted to drop into the 60s for many coastal and valley areas through Sunday. This marks a significant decline from the seasonal highs experienced on Friday, with Saturday’s temperatures struggling to reach the low 70s.
Rainfall amounts are expected to be minimal, with most areas receiving around a tenth of an inch. Mountain ranges may see slightly more, with totals reaching up to a quarter-inch. Gusty winds are also a concern, especially in the Antelope Valley, where gusts could peak at 45 mph.
Forecasters note that while the current storm system is forecasted to move out by Sunday afternoon, temperatures will likely remain below normal into early next week. They are also monitoring a secondary system that may arrive by late Tuesday or Wednesday, potentially bringing more significant rainfall.
As the weekend progresses, residents can expect conditions to clear, although unsettled weather may return shortly thereafter.
