Sophia Bush Joins the Cast of ‘Count My Lies’ in a Recurring Role
Sophia Bush Joins Hulu’s Adaptation of Count My Lies
Sophia Bush, known for her roles in One Tree Hill and Grey’s Anatomy, has been cast in Hulu’s upcoming series adaptation of Sophie Stava’s debut novel, Count My Lies. In this new project, Bush will play the recurring role of Allison, a fashionable architect from Tribeca and a devoted mother.
Production for the series, created by the team behind This Is Us, Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, is currently underway in New York City.
The plot follows Sloane Caraway, portrayed by Shailene Woodley, who secures a nanny position for the captivating Violet, played by Lindsay Lohan, and her partner Jay Lockhart, played by Kit Harington. While Sloane believes she has landed her dream job, she quickly discovers that the household is steeped in secrets, leading to potentially dire consequences.
Joining Bush in the recurring cast are Katherine LaNasa, who will portray Sloane’s mother, Tracy, and Lou Diamond Phillips, who takes on the role of Tracy’s boyfriend, Paul.
Count My Lies was published by Scout Press, a Simon & Schuster imprint, on March 4, 2025, and was featured as the GMA Book Club pick for the month. The series is produced by 20th Television, with Aptaker, Berger, Woodley, Lohan, Scott Morgan, Antonio Campos, and Stava serving as executive producers.
Bush’s recent television credits include her role as Dr. Cass Beckman in Grey’s Anatomy. She is widely recognized for her performances as Brooke Davis in One Tree Hill and Erin Lindsay in Chicago P.D., with additional appearances in Good Sam, Love, Victor, This Is Us, and Easy. In film, she lent her voice to the character Voyd in The Incredibles 2 and has appeared in titles such as Acts of Violence, Marshall, The Narrows, and John Tucker Must Die.
