Simon Williams’ Powers Shine in the New Trailer for ‘Wonder Man’ Series
The official trailer for the upcoming Marvel Television series, *Wonder Man*, features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, who delivers an empowering message: “You got this, man. You just gotta go out there and crush it.” The series, set to premier on Disney+, also sees Oscar-winning actor Ben Kingsley reprising his role as Trevor Slattery. Kingsley is joined by series creators Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, who are known for their work on *Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings* and *Community*, respectively.
Wonder Man follows the journey of aspiring actor Simon Williams (Abdul-Mateen II), who struggles to launch his career. In a fortuitous encounter with Slattery, who represents a bygone era of theatrical glory, Simon learns that legendary director Von Kovak (Zlatko Buric) is working on a remake of the superhero film *Wonder Man*. Together, these two actors, though at different stages in their careers, aim for life-altering roles, offering a glimpse into the complexities of the entertainment industry.
As Simon endeavors to break into Hollywood, he inadvertently begins to develop superpowers. At one point in the trailer, Simon is prompted to sign a document by Agent Cleary, portrayed by Arian Moayed, who reprises his role from *Spider-Man: No Way Home*. Cleary, a senior agent in the Department of Damage Control, quickly brands Simon as an “extraordinary threat” just before his hidden abilities manifest.
