Shooting Involving DHS Agents Under Investigation in Willowbrook
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. – An investigation is currently underway following a shooting incident involving a federal agent in Willowbrook Wednesday morning.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to reports of gunfire related to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agent around 7:20 a.m. Officials stated that a DHS task force was conducting an operation targeting a vehicle that subsequently crashed in the 2400 block of 126th Street.
As agents approached the car to detain the individuals inside, shots were fired. Fortunately, no suspects were reported injured in the incident.
Authorities have closed roads in the vicinity of Mona Boulevard and 126th Street, redirecting traffic as the investigation proceeds.
