Federal Agent Involved in Shooting Incident in Willowbrook
A shooting involving a federal agent occurred Wednesday morning in Willowbrook, a community in southern Los Angeles County, with no injuries reported.
The incident took place around 7:30 a.m. in the 2400 block of 126th Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. During an operation by federal agents, a brief pursuit ended in a crash.
Footage from NewsChopper4 captured a BMW at the scene that sustained front-end damage, with airbags deployed. Reports indicate that shots were fired as law enforcement officials detained an individual, but thankfully, no one was hit by gunfire.
Details regarding the number of shots fired or the circumstances surrounding the operation remain unclear. Additionally, authorities have not confirmed whether the detained individual is in custody.
