“To the kids at my table who wondered ‘Who the f— took that chair?’ Now you know,” she remarked, drawing laughter and applause from the audience.
Continuing her address, Stone shared an anecdote: “Yeah, someone came over and said, ‘Who are you and why are you sitting here?’ And I said ‘F— you. But more importantly…’ She then highlighted the significance of her platform. “I’d like to give you an opportunity to start your activism work now that your consciousness has kicked in,” she said, to more laughter.

Stone emphasized the importance of awareness in her address, stating, “Because fame without awareness, success without purpose, is pointless.” She recounted her experience auditioning for her breakthrough role in the 1992 film Basic Instinct. Although she wasn’t the initial choice, she persevered and was well-prepared, having studied the script for months. “I was the person who got a manager to call every single f—ing day, because I wanted that part,” she noted.
“And when you want something as an artist, you should go and get it,” she advised.
