Sharon Osbourne Reflects on Her Last Moments with Ozzy: A Touching Goodbye
Sharon Osbourne Reflects on Final Moments with Ozzy Osbourne
Sharon Osbourne has opened up about her poignant last moments with her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary metal guitarist who passed away at the age of 76 on July 22. In an emotional interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Sharon shared details of their final night together, recalling a blend of love and humor that characterized their long-standing relationship.
Speaking to Morgan on Wednesday, Sharon recounted their last conversation. She revealed that Ozzy was frequently getting up to go to the bathroom throughout the night. At around 4:30 a.m., he called out to her to "wake up," to which she playfully responded, “I’m already bloody awake! You’ve woken me up!”
In a deeply touching moment, Sharon described how Ozzy asked her to "kiss me… Hug me tight," marking his final words before he passed away later that day. Reflecting on these moments, she expressed her regret: “If only I’d have told him I loved him more. If only I’d have held him tighter.”
On the morning of his passing, Sharon said Ozzy did manage to get up for his daily workout but died shortly thereafter. She recounted the harrowing moment when she knew he was gone, stating, “I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him, and I’m like, ‘Don’t — leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone.’”
In the days leading up to his death, Sharon noted that Ozzy had been describing a recurring dream in which he was “walking and walking,” encountering “people he never knew.” “He knew, he was ready,” she commented.
Sharon also mentioned that a doctor had warned Ozzy about the risks of performing at what turned out to be his final show—a tribute gig in Birmingham on July 5. “He said, ‘if you insist on performing, that’s it… you’re not gonna get through it,’” she relayed.
The discussion further explored how their children have been a source of strength for Sharon during this challenging time. She also addressed recent criticisms of her daughter Kelly’s appearance and reacted to remarks made by former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters regarding Ozzy’s life and legacy.
