Serena and Venus Williams, renowned tennis champions, have once again showcased their close bond, this time during a significant personal milestone.
On December 23, Serena Williams took to Instagram to celebrate her sister, Venus, following her marriage to actor Andrea Preti. “My sister’s keeper,” Serena began her heartfelt message, highlighting Venus’s journey from their early days on “backyard courts” to global fame.
She praised Venus for embodying “grace, strength, and a heart bigger than any trophy,” expressing deep admiration. Serena described witnessing her sister embrace this new chapter “surrounded by love,” likening it to a powerful sunrise filled with promise. “Seeing you this happy, this loved, this radiant… it means everything to me,” she concluded, affirming her support not just for the day but always.
Serena wore a striking white strapless mermaid gown complete with a sweetheart neckline, flowing cape, and detached lace sleeves, beautifully complemented by her elegant accessories and classic hairstyle.
Though traditionally, wearing white is reserved for the bride, Venus intentionally chose this color scheme for herself and her sisters, including Lyndrea and Isha Price, as well as her mother, Oracene, who also donned white attire.
Leading up to the wedding, Serena mentioned her significant role in the planning process during an interview for their podcast, Stockton Street. She described her contributions, which included helping Venus select from a wide array of hairstyles, demonstrating her hands-on approach to the preparations.

With a passion for event planning, Serena has embraced a supportive role, sharing, “I’m the person that arranges things; I’m like the planner.” This tagline captures her proactive approach and dedication to helping her sister navigate this joyous occasion.
Venus and Andrea Preti first sparked romance rumors in July 2024 while enjoying a yacht trip in Italy. After months of speculation, she confirmed their engagement in July 2025, referring to Preti as her “fiancé.” The couple celebrated their love with two weddings in 2025—first in Italy in September and then in a courthouse ceremony in West Palm Beach, Florida, on December 19. Their pre-wedding festivities included a yacht outing, a romantic dinner, and a bridal shower.
Reflecting on the courthouse ceremony, Preti remarked on its uniqueness, emotional depth, and significance, describing it as “the second-best day” of his life after their official wedding.
