Sequel to "Red, White & Royal Blue" Announces Returning Cast and New Additions
The sequel, titled Red, White & Royal Wedding, is set to bring back several familiar faces from Amazon MGM Studios’ romantic comedy adaptation of Casey McQuiston’s acclaimed novel Red, White & Royal Blue.
Among the returning cast are notable actors such as Uma Thurman, Sarah Shahi, Rachel Hilson, Ellie Bamber, Clifton Collins Jr., Stephen Fry, Thomas Flynn, Aneesh Sheth, and Malcolm Atobrah. They are joined by newcomers Henry Ashton, known for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and Alex Høgh Andersen from Vikings.
While specifics about the plot remain undisclosed, the film will be directed by Jamie Babbit, with a script penned by Gemma Burgess, Matthew López, and McQuiston herself.
In a recently released behind-the-scenes video, stars Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez clarified that the sequel will not focus on the wedding of their characters, Alexander Clairmont-Diaz and Prince Henry. Instead, Perez hinted that the story will center around the wedding of Henry’s sister, Beatrice, portrayed by Bamber.
Production will be produced by Berlanti Schechter Films team, including Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Michael McGrath, along with Jennifer Salke of Sullivan Street Productions. López, who directed the first film, is also involved as an executive producer alongside McQuiston and Michael Constable.
The film’s anticipation continues to build as fans await further details on its release and storyline.
