Marlon Wayans Set to Reprise Role in ‘Scary Movie 6’ and Discusses Film’s Themes
Marlon Wayans is returning to his role as Shorty Meeks in the upcoming film Scary Movie 6, providing insight into the comedy horror’s approach and themes.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Wayans described the film as “multi-generational,” emphasizing its goal to revive laughter. “What we’re trying to do is bring back laughter,” he said. “This is about bringing back comedy the way it used to be. And I think the only way to do it is you have to cancel the cancel culture.”
The film’s trailer hints at the variety of subjects it will poke fun at, suggesting a commitment to humor that will not discriminate. “We’re gonna do what we always do. We’re gonna make fun of everybody because we’re equal opportunity offenders,” Wayans stated.
