Season 3 of ‘Nobody Wants This’ Kicks Off Production in Los Angeles
Production has begun on Season 3 of the romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This in Los Angeles. The renewal was announced last fall following the release of its ten-episode second season on Netflix.
Returning for the new season are series regulars Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn, who will reprise their respective roles.
Created by Erin Foster, Nobody Wants This has proven to be a significant success for Netflix, with its first two seasons accumulating a combined 12 weeks in the platform’s Global English TV top 10. It reached the top 10 in 89 countries and secured the #1 spot in 43 countries. Following the premiere of Season 2, the first season re-entered the top 10, indicating strong interest from viewers revisiting the series.
Season 3 of Nobody Wants This is expected to premiere later this year. The show joins a growing list of Netflix productions in Los Angeles, which also includes Running Point S2, The Lincoln Lawyer S4, the upcoming film Animals directed by Ben Affleck, Beef S2 from Lee Sung Jin, and Monster S4 from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, along with the talent competition series Star Search.
The series centers around an agnostic podcast host and a nontraditional rabbi navigating their unexpected connection amidst modern relationship challenges and family dynamics. In Season 2, their relationship is further tested as they work through their differences.
Executive producers Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan oversee the production, with additional executive producers Erin Foster, Kristen Bell, Sara Foster, Nora Silver, Steven Levitan, Danielle Stokdyk, and Jeff Morton, along with Oly Obst from 3arts. Nobody Wants This is produced by 20th Television.
