Hannah Harper Crowned Winner of American Idol Season 24
In an exciting conclusion to Season 24 of American Idol, Hannah Harper emerged as the winner during a live three-hour finale. Viewers rallied behind Harper, who secured the top spot, while Jordan McCullough and Keyla Richardson claimed second and third places, respectively.
The finale, which showcased a diverse array of musical talent, featured guest mentor Alicia Keys, who guided the Top 3 finalists in their final performances. Keys, a 17-time Grammy winner, was announced for this role in late April, adding an extra layer of excitement to the evening.
Judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Carrie Underwood also participated in a special performance, with Underwood sharing the stage with legendary rock band Mötley Crüe. The night was further enhanced by appearances from notable artists including Brad Paisley, Jason Mraz, Clay Aiken, En Vogue, Nelly, Shinedown, and Tori Kelly, as well as bands Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms.
Earlier in the season, former finalist Jennifer Hudson returned as a guest judge and mentor, offering guidance during the Disney Night themed competition for the Top 9 contestants.
This season of American Idol marked its biggest debut in January since Season 20, shifting its airtime from Sunday nights to Mondays.
The show, produced by Fremantle and 19 Entertainment as part of Sony Pictures Television, features Megan Wolflick as the showrunner. Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman also serve as executive producers for 19 Entertainment, with Fremantle handling global distribution.
