Prominent Nonprofit Director Found Dead in Possible Murder-Suicide

A tragic incident unfolded in Venice on Tuesday morning, as Jeremy Ferguson, the Director of Operations for Downtown Santa Monica, Inc., was discovered dead from a gunshot wound. Law enforcement sources report that Ferguson’s wife was also found at the scene with a gunshot wound.

According to investigators, Ferguson had sent a suicide note and instructions on accessing their home to a friend prior to the incident. That friend arrived and subsequently alerted authorities regarding the situation.

Officials are currently classifying the case as a murder-suicide, indicating that it is believed Ferguson shot his wife before taking his own life.
