The award-winning Australian trio received a commemorative plaque in Sydney this week from Live Nation and Untitled Group, commemorating their achievement after selling 750,000 headline tickets and reaching 1.5 million fans worldwide through festivals and headline shows in 2025.
During the Australia and New Zealand leg of the tour, Rüfüs Du Sol reached a significant high point. Over 180,000 tickets were sold across cities including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland, all of which were completely sold out. The band set a record as the highest-selling Australian act at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena and attracted a new attendance record of 25,000 fans at Auckland’s Outer Fields at Western Springs.
The Inhale / Exhale era has proven to be both a commercial and critical success for Rüfüs Du Sol. Their fifth studio album received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2026 and garnered four nominations at the 2025 ARIA Awards. The album not only debuted on the Billboard 200 but also produced the band’s first No. 1 single at U.S. dance radio with “Music Is Better.”
Across nearly 50 headline performances on four continents, Rüfüs Du Sol has positioned itself among the top tier of touring electronic acts. They have accomplished historic feats, such as being the first electronic act to headline Los Angeles’ Rose Bowl, while also gracing the stages of major festivals including Lollapalooza. The group now stands as the only electronic act performing at this scale worldwide.
The plaque presentation in Sydney comes as Rüfüs Du Sol gears up to extend their touring into 2026. They have announced new European arena dates in Dublin, Düsseldorf, and Bologna, along with headlining major venues like London’s The O2, Paris’ Adidas Arena, and Barcelona’s Palau Sant Jordi. South American dates are set to begin in February, followed by a spring European tour.
