Ross Kemp Delves into the Challenges of Masculinity in His New Crime+Investigation Series Trailer
EXCLUSIVE: Following the rise of Adolescence on Netflix, which has captivated audiences and sparked dialogue around its portrayal of crime, many in the UK are questioning the factors behind the violent actions depicted in the series.
In collaboration with Crime+Investigation UK and Vice Studios, and supported by Krempelwood, documentary presenter Ross Kemp is investigating these concerns with his new project, Ross Kemp: Lost Boys, Deadly Men. An exclusive trailer has been released ahead of the premiere next week.
In this documentary, Kemp delves into the alarming trend of extreme violence among young men in Britain. He engages with individuals who highlight the escalating crisis in masculinity, particularly as violence against women and girls has been declared a national emergency. The show aims to transcend sensational headlines, focusing instead on the cultural, social, and online influences that are shaping this generation of young men.
Kemp, known for his role as the hardened character Grant Mitchell in EastEnders, has a history of tackling challenging subjects in his documentaries.

“Our aim was never to offer easy answers,” stated Joe Ingham, Executive Producer at Vice Studios. “We wanted to explore the pressures young men face, from family breakdown to social isolation, and how that can manifest itself. Crucially, we wanted to ensure the voices of victims and those affected by male violence were heard, as well as those offering interventions and support.”
This new show from Kemp follows recent news that Louis Theroux is preparing to investigate the manosphere in a 90-minute feature documentary for Netflix. Theroux shared that while his work is “sort of nothing like Adolescence,” it is related to what the boy in Adolescence might have been exposed to.
