Pomona Crash: Suspect Faces Murder Charges After Fatal Pursuit
Murder Charges Filed After Deadly Chase in Pomona
POMONA, Calif. — Marshall Judson has been charged with murder following a police pursuit that ended in a tragic collision, resulting in the deaths of two young adults on Wednesday night.
The incident unfolded when officers responded to a domestic violence call in the 400 block of East 10th Street. While they were interviewing a victim, Judson reportedly drove back in a truck, intentionally struck a parked police vehicle, and fled the scene. This prompted a high-speed chase.
During the pursuit, Judson crashed into a silver Ford sedan at the intersection of Garey Avenue and County Road. The vehicle’s occupants, identified as 25-year-old Jennifer Loera-Zarco and 26-year-old Marc Trejo Saldivar, were pronounced dead at the scene.
On Friday, prosecutors upgraded Judson’s charges in light of the fatalities. In addition to the murder counts, he had previously been booked on charges of vehicular manslaughter, DUI, and assault with a deadly weapon against a peace officer.
Judson remains in custody and is scheduled for arraignment on Monday. Meanwhile, investigators continue to process evidence from his truck, which includes a firearm. Authorities are urging any witnesses to either the crash or the initial incident on East 10th Street to come forward and contact the Pomona Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
