Waterfall Attracts Visitors to Dana Point Following Recent Rainfall
Crowds Drawn to Dana Point Waterfall After Winter Storm
Dana Point, CA – A stunning waterfall has emerged in Dana Point following a recent winter storm that brought heavy rainfall to Southern California, attracting numerous spectators eager to witness the spectacle.
Visitors flocked to Harbor Drive, situated across from the marina, to enjoy the remarkable sight. The waterfall, which splits into two streams over a rock formation, has created a striking scene in Orange County.
“We’ve been to Niagara, Rainbow Falls, and everything in Yosemite, but this one is awesome,” said Ronnie, a San Diego resident. “And I know it’s not permanent, but it’s special today.”
The waterfall typically forms after significant rainfall, and the recent days provided optimal conditions for its appearance. Local resident Rene Hansaker noted the rarity of such a sight, stating, “This is beautiful for this area because it’s not a natural wonder of everyday life. This is just once a year, during the rainy season. And it’s perfect.”
While the waterfall’s beauty is indisputable, it is essential to note that it is created from suburban runoff from the community above the cliff, which raises concerns about cleanliness. Authorities advise the public to refrain from drinking from the waterfall or standing underneath it.
