Police Investigate Hammer Attack That Led to Man’s Death in East Hollywood
East Hollywood Assault Leaves One Dead
A man in his 40s has died following a violent confrontation in East Hollywood, where he was attacked with a hammer, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The incident occurred Thursday night around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Willow Brook and Virgil avenues, prompting officers to respond to reports of a fight between two individuals.
The suspect, described as a 6-foot, 200-pound man wearing a white tank top and blue jeans, fled the scene in an older model truck. By 10:15 p.m., he had not yet been apprehended.
Authorities have not disclosed details surrounding the circumstances of the altercation, and it remains unclear whether there was any prior relationship between the two men involved.
