LA Animal Rescue Seeking Loving Foster Homes for Dogs in Need
Los Angeles Animal Rescue Urgently Seeking Foster Homes for Dogs
A Los Angeles-based animal rescue is reaching out for urgent assistance in finding responsible foster homes for dogs in need. Wags & Walks Adoption Center reports a critical shortage of foster volunteers as local animal shelters face unprecedented capacity challenges.
The nonprofit organization specializes in rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters, striving to place these dogs in loving and supportive homes. In a statement, Wags & Walks emphasized the pressing situation: “Local shelters and rescues are overwhelmed, with the number of dogs being surrendered and abandoned reaching levels not seen since the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and recent wildfire emergencies.”
In light of this crisis, Wags & Walks is actively seeking foster pet parents. The organization supports its foster families by providing food, supplies, and medical care for the dogs. Additionally, guidance is offered to ensure foster volunteers feel confident and prepared.
The rescue is particularly in need of fosters who can accommodate pregnant dogs, mother dogs with puppies, dogs requiring medical care, and larger breeds. This appeal highlights the ongoing challenges faced by animal rescues in the region as they work to care for vulnerable animals.
