PBS Masterpiece Shares an Exciting Sneak Peek of Season 2 of The Forsytes
In the wake of Sunday’s Season 1 finale, PBS’s Masterpiece has unveiled a first look at the upcoming second season of The Forsytes.
Season 2 is set to premiere next year and will feature new cast members, including Richard Rankin (Outlander), Sarah Alexander (Pennyworth), and Nia Ashi (Bob Marley: One Love). They join a stellar lineup that includes BAFTA-winner Francesca Annis as the formidable matriarch Ann Forsyte, along with Danny Griffin (Jo Forsyte), Tuppence Middleton (Frances Forsyte), Eleanor Tomlinson (Louisa Byrne), Joshua Orpin (Soames Forsyte), Millie Gibson (Irene Forsyte), Stephen Moyer (Jolyon Forsyte Sr.), and Jack Davenport (James Forsyte).
Based on John Galsworthy’s novel, The Forsyte Saga offers an expansive portrayal of a wealthy British family in late 19th century London. The official logline describes the series as a tale of desire, ambition, and betrayal at the core of a Victorian-era stockbroking family, navigating the conflicts between tradition, self-sacrifice, personal happiness, and the pursuit of love.

Remarkably, The Forsytes was renewed for a third season back in March, prior to the premiere of Season 1.
The series is produced by Mammoth Screen, with Debbie Horsfield (Poldark) handling the adaptation. Executive producers are Horsfield, Meenu Gaur, Michael Ray, and Damien Timmer, representing Mammoth Screen, a part of ITV Studios. Additionally, Susanne Simpson serves as an executive producer for Masterpiece.
A teaser for the upcoming season is now available.
