Pasadena Humane Celebrates the Adoption of the Last Eaton Fire Shelter Animal
Artemis the German Shepherd Finds a New Home After Eaton Fire
Pasadena Humane has announced the successful adoption of Artemis, a German Shepherd, marking the conclusion of their shelter efforts related to last year’s Eaton Fire. Artemis was adopted on Tuesday after spending several months at the animal shelter.
Initially taken to Pasadena Humane for emergency boarding, Artemis arrived after his family lost their home to the fire. Over time, his family made the challenging choice to surrender him due to ongoing difficulties resulting from the disaster.
“During his time with us, he showed us what true resilience looks like, growing and opening up in ways that made his progress all the more meaningful,” Pasadena Humane shared on social media. “Artemis is now thriving—loved, adopted, and exactly where he’s meant to be.”
The shelter noted that the aftermath of the Eaton Fire resulted in different paths for animals, with some returning to their families while others embarked on new journeys with adoptive homes. Pasadena Humane expressed gratitude for the public’s support during this challenging time.
