Parker Posey Begins Hosting New Reality Competition Series ‘The Mob’ on Hulu, Brought to You by the Team Behind ‘The Traitors’
Parker Posey is set to transition from a luxurious Thai resort to an Italian villa as she enters the competitive arena of reality television.
The White Lotus actress will host The Mob on Hulu, a competition series inspired by the format of Traitors.
The Mob will gather a group of celebrities at a lavish Italian villa, where they will engage in challenges reminiscent of iconic mob movies for a chance to win up to $250,000 in cash prizes. Participants will navigate tasks reminiscent of mob operations, but only one will be crowned the don, possessing the power to determine who earns money, who stays, and who faces elimination. This high-stakes game will test loyalty, as challengers maneuver for dominance.
The Mob is produced by Studio Lambert in collaboration with British production company Primal Media, known for the horror gameshow Release The Hounds.
The show will feature notable figures from the reality television landscape, including The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Demi Engemann, Dancing with the Stars’ Bruno Tonioli, and Aida Turturro from The Sopranos. Additional participants include RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Willam Belli, Joe Gorga from The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Harry Jowsey from Let’s Marry Harry, Chelsea Lazkani from Selling Sunset, Debi Mazar from Younger, Bella Palk from Love Overboard, rapper Romeo, and Shane Parton from Bachelor Nation.
The innovative format originated at Primal Media, led by Adam Wood and Mat Steiner, in collaboration with Neil Kirby and Ben Riley, who contributed to its development.
Susan House, who previously showran ABC’s The Hustler and has experience with The Bachelor, will assume the role of showrunner.
Posey will serve as an executive producer alongside Tim Harcourt, Jack Burgess, Niall O’Driscoll, and Stephen Lambert from Studio Lambert, as well as Adam Wood, Mat Steiner, and David Mortimer from Primal Media. Charlie Williams is designated as the Executive in Charge of Production, while Justin Madeiros serves as EVP of Production.
Jack Burgess, President of Studio Lambert USA, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We’re happy to bring our expertise to Primal’s fun idea and Hulu is a great home for it.”
Primal Media’s Adam Wood and Mat Steiner shared their excitement, stating, “We love reality TV and the whole mafia genre. With The Mob, we wanted to create an addictive format centered around the most powerful contestant in reality TV history—a world where charm, strategy, and survival instincts all collide. We’re thrilled to be co-producing the series with Studio Lambert for Hulu, working with a fearless cast of celebrities who are all primed ‘to whack or be whacked.’”
