Off Campus Welcomes India Fowler and Phillipa Soo for Season 2 of The Mistake
Prime Video’s ‘Off Campus’ Set for Season 2 with New Cast Additions
As anticipation builds for the May 13 premiere of Season 1, Off Campus, on Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios is already making strides for the series’ second season. This college-set romantic drama, inspired by Elle Kennedy’s bestselling book series, received an early renewal in February.
India Fowler, known for her roles in Fear Street: Prom Queen and The Agency, has been cast as Grace Ivers, a series regular and the love interest of Antonio Cipriano’s character, John Logan. Grace, a freshman sociology major, is navigating her way through life at Briar University.
Philipa Soo, recognized for her performances in Hamilton and Dopesick, is also joining the cast in a recurring role as Scarlett, a theater artist guest directing an original play within the college’s drama department.
Although Amazon has not confirmed which book from the Off Campus series Season 2 will be adapted, the introduction of Grace Ivers suggests the storyline may draw from the second book, The Mistake. This installment focuses on the evolving relationship between Grace and Logan, beginning during their freshman year. As the story unfolds, Grace returns for her sophomore year with newfound confidence, confronting the star hockey player, who is best friends with Season 1’s lead, Garrett Graham.
There is speculation that the series might introduce Grace and Logan in Season 2, with their romance taking center stage in Season 3, potentially basing the second season on the third book, The Score, which features characters Dean and Allie, introduced in Season 1.
Created for television by Louisa Levy, Off Campus delves into the lives of an elite ice hockey team and the women associated with them as they confront love, heartbreak, and self-discovery while building significant friendships and navigating the complexities of adulthood.
In Season 1, the storyline follows the romance between Hannah, portrayed by Ella Bright, and Garrett, played by Belmont Cameli. Their relationship begins with a fake dating scheme aimed at winning over Hannah’s crush, Justin Kohl. The first season also introduces the quartet of hockey players who will lead each subsequent season, including Cipriano as Logan, Stephen Kalyn as Dean, and Jalen Thomas Brooks as Tucker.
Levy serves as co-showrunner and executive producer, alongside Gina Fattore. The executive production team includes Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, James Seidman, Leanna Billings, and Neal Flaherty.
Fowler, in addition to her work on Fear Street, appears in The Agency, where she portrays the daughter of Michael Fassbender. She is represented by Untitled Entertainment, Curtis Brown, and Goodman Genow Schenkman. Soo, who originated the role of Eliza Schuyler in Hamilton, recently starred in ABC’s Doctor Odyssey and is represented by UTA, Anonymous Content, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
