Netflix Shares Exciting News About Tyler Perry’s Firefighter Drama ‘Where There’s Smoke’ Featuring Tyler Lepley, Mike Merrill, and Da’Vinchi
Tyler Perry is set to explore the world of firefighting in his upcoming Netflix drama, Where There’s Smoke. The series promises to delve into the challenges firefighters face, both on the job and in their personal lives.
In Where There’s Smoke, a team of firefighters confronts not only the dangers of their profession but also personal conflicts, strained relationships, and the emotional weight of their critical work. Production of the 16-episode series has commenced in Atlanta, Georgia.
The cast features Tyler Lepley, known for his roles in Ruth & Boaz and Harlem, portraying the character Owen. Mike Merrill (STRAW, The Black Hamptons) plays Cameron, while Da’Vinchi, recognized from BMF and All American, takes on the role of Noah. Additional ensemble members include Eltony Williams, Brock O’Hurn, Joe Hunter, Karen Obilom, Brittany S. Hall, Mariah Goodie, Jordan Rodriguez, and Judi Moon.
Written, directed, and produced by Perry through Tyler Perry Studios, Where There’s Smoke is part of his ongoing collaboration with Netflix. This partnership has previously yielded titles like Beauty in Black, Miss Governor, and A Madea Homecoming. Notably, Beauty in Black has recently been renewed for a third season.
