Netflix Unveils First Trailer for Upcoming Crime Drama "Nemesis"
Netflix has released the first trailer for its highly anticipated crime drama, Nemesis, highlighting a gripping cat-and-mouse dynamic between its two lead characters, portrayed by Matthew Law and Y’lan Noel.
Nemesis centers on the conflicting paths of Coltrane Wilder, an unstoppable criminal (played by Noel), and Isaiah Stiles, a brilliant police detective (played by Law). The series aims to redefine the heist genre, mixing intense action with themes of family dynamics and moral dilemmas, asking what ultimately drives and destroys us.
The cast for the series includes Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, Ariana Guerra, Gabrielle Dennis, Michael Potts, Sophina Brown, Cedric Joe, and Jeff Pierre. Notable guest stars are Moe Irvin, Quincy Isaiah, Jay Reeves, Mike O’Malley, and Stephanie Sigman, among others. Both Mark Feuerstein and Shane Johnson share a history with the Power franchise, previously produced by Kemp.
Nemesis is set to premiere on May 14, 2026, with the first season comprising eight episodes, each running approximately 60 minutes.
Kemp serves as the showrunner, creator, and executive producer for Nemesis, alongside Tani Marole, who is also a co-creator and executive producer. Others in executive production roles include Chris Selak and Philipp Barnett. The directing team features Mario Van Peebles for the first two episodes and includes Millicent Shelton, Rob Hardy, and Ruben Garcia for subsequent episodes.
