Moonbug Teams Up with Brazil’s Watch for Exciting New CoComelon Content
Moonbug Partners with Brazilian Content Hub Watch for Children’s Programming
São Paulo, Brazil – Moonbug, the company behind the popular children’s series CoComelon, has announced a significant partnership with the Brazilian content platform Watch. This collaboration will bring over 100 hours of Moonbug’s children’s programming, including fan favorites such as Blippi, Little Baby Bum, and Little Angel, to Brazilian audiences.
The partnership includes the launch of a dedicated linear channel for Moonbug content. Currently, Watch serves more than 3.5 million subscribers through its connections with over 2,000 internet service providers across 4,500 municipalities in Brazil. The service offers packages that include HBO Max, Globo, and ESPN, among others.
Moonbug, which is owned by Candle Media, has implemented a strategy of forming localized deals to distribute its content worldwide. The company’s flagship series, CoComelon, is set to transition from Netflix to Disney+ in the near future, and a movie adaptation is also in development.
Maurício Almeida, President of Watch, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, “The addition of Moonbug strengthens our kids and family content offering. This is a meaningful benefit for both consumers and internet providers, especially at a time when rising streaming costs are impacting the market. Providers of all sizes need accessible, high-quality content options that help drive customer loyalty.”
Manuel Reveiz, Director of Distribution and Partnerships for Latin America at Moonbug, highlighted the goal of the collaboration: “For families, finding content that is fun, safe, and trustworthy is essential. Through Watch, we’re bringing a Moonbug channel directly into Brazilian homes—giving parents peace of mind about what their children are watching, while kids get to spend time with beloved characters like CoComelon and Blippi, all in one place.”
