Fantastic Reality, a three-day mixed reality festival showcasing independent virtual and VTuber talents, is set to return to Los Angeles this summer following a successful debut last year.
The festival will take place at the Vermont Hollywood Theater from July 2 to July 4, featuring distinct lineups each night.
The opening night, titled Fantastic Reality: Found Futures presented by IRIAM, is headlined by VTubers Matara Kan, kson, and Lilypichu. This night will also mark the debut of Virtual Signal, touted as the first all-virtual rock band. Notably, it will be Matara Kan’s first live concert and Lilypichu’s inaugural in-person VTuber performance, along with the first appearances of Virtual Signal and its lead singer, Emilya Fell.
The second night will feature Anibash: Crossroads, a collaboration with the dance music label Asahi Crew, recognized for their vibrant Tokyo-style club rave experiences. The festival will conclude with a matinee concert on the final day, titled Doki Doki: Rewind Time, which is co-produced, curated, and headlined by VTuber Dokibird. Organizers indicate that the combined social media following of all participating talents exceeds 24 million, with additional artists to be announced in the coming months.
Tickets for Fantastic Reality are currently on sale, with a second phase of ticket sales—including general admission and VIP options—set to open on April 28 at 4 p.m. PT.
“Fantastic Reality strives to create community through inspirational experiences showcasing the world’s top virtual talents,” stated Spencer Burnham, co-producer of the event. “We’re thrilled to have internationally recognized virtual stars Dokibird, Matara Kan, kson, Lilypichu, and friends perform with our house band in an awe-inspiring, intimate IRL space.”
Fantastic Reality builds on the success of its 2025 debut, which featured performances by the popular virtual artist Ironmouse and other prominent VTubers.
