Minions and Monsters Team Up in the Super Bowl Trailer
The beloved yellow sidekicks of Gru are set to return in a new trailer for the third film in the Minions franchise.
Initially scheduled for release on June 30, 2027, the animated feature has been rescheduled to July 1, 2026, coinciding with the premiere of Shrek 5, which is slated for December 23, 2026.
A clip aired during Super Bowl LX features a Minion dramatically rushing towards the camera before collapsing, exhausted. This trailer provides the first glimpse of the storyline for the upcoming film, titled Minions & Monsters.
In this trailer, the Minions engage in film production antics that take a humorous turn, as they mistakenly turn their staged battle scene into a real confrontation with the warrior actors.
