Mindy Kaling embraced the holiday spirit during a recent trip to Disneyland, sharing her culinary adventures on Instagram.
On December 17, the mother of three uploaded an Instagram Reel that featured her tasting a variety of foods at the park. The outing celebrated the eighth birthday of her daughter, Katherine Swati, popularly known as Kit, whose birthday occurred just two days earlier on December 15.
Kaling, 46, also shared glimpses of her time at Disneyland with Katherine and her two other children—Spencer Avu, 5, and Anne, born in February 2024. The family enjoyed their Disneyland visit, which Kaling documented in a series of lively posts.
In her latest video, Kaling opened with a clip where she enthusiastically sampled a churro, awarding it a “10/10” and calling it “a classic for a reason.”
Next, she tasted popcorn served in a themed container, rating it an 8/10 for fulfilling a need, despite its simple nature.

Fans were delighted when Kaling described a Minnie Mouse 70th Anniversary Caramel Apple as “12/10 a work of art.” As detailed by Disneyland Park Blogs, this treat features a Granny Smith apple adorned with marshmallow ears and dipped in caramel and milk chocolate, topped with a lavender sugar dress and decoratively embellished with teal M&M’s and a special chocolate bow for the celebration.
However, Kaling had a much less enthusiastic response to the peppermint-sugar Mickey beignet, which earned a straightforward “6/10” and no further commentary. Her mood brightened again with a soft serve dessert adorned with red, green, and white sprinkles, which she rated a perfect “10/10,” highlighting its festive appeal and her child’s approval of the treat.

The Kaling family also sampled a garlic-cheese pretzel served with marinara sauce, which Kaling rated a respectable 9/10 despite its less-than-appealing presentation.
In her post, Kaling expressed her enthusiasm for the culinary offerings at Disneyland, stating, “I love the holidays at Disneyland but I really love the food more.”
Fans engaged in the comments, with one person stating, “100% agree on these ratings except I think you’re sleeping on those beignets 😍😂😂.”
Kaling’s latest project is the Netflix series Running Point, which she co-created alongside Elaine Ko, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen. The first season is currently available for viewing.
