- Katelynn Ordone has rejoined social media almost three weeks following a hiatus after the tragic passing of her 2-year-old son, Preston.
- Preston, known as “Okay Baby” on TikTok, was fatally injured in a car accident in April 2024, a crash from which Katelynn and her husband Jaelen emerged unscathed.
- The influencer announced her break on December 26, just a day before Preston’s birthday, and shared her first video on January 13.
Katelynn Ordone stepped back from social media last month after her son, Preston, was killed in an automobile accident in April 2025. Following a weeks-long break, the TikTok star has made her return to the platform.
On January 13, Katelynn posted her first video since announcing her “mental health break” on December 26. In her earlier announcement, she shared her emotional struggles following the loss of her toddler son, who was affectionately referred to as “Okay Baby” in her online content.
Last spring, Katelynn and Jaelen were traveling with their son when their vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree, according to a Louisiana State Police press release issued on the day of the incident. While both parents survived the wreck, the St. Tammany Parish coroner’s office later confirmed that Preston died from “blunt force injuries,” categorizing the tragic event as accidental.

In her latest video, Katelynn, who is also the mother of an older daughter named Paisley, reflected on her need to “check out” from social media during her grieving process. “I needed to get off my phone for a while and focus on my daughter and family and friends around me,” she remarked, adding that this shift has been “really helpful for me and really healing.” She feels ready to re-engage with her followers.
Katelynn expressed her intention to use her TikTok platform to honor Preston’s memory while also providing support for others navigating grief. “I want it to be a page where I can just have fun on it sometimes, too,” she noted.

Addressing her feelings of guilt since Preston’s passing, Katelynn shared, “A lot of times I feel guilty to do the fun things or even share the fun things. I know that’s what Preston would want. He wants his mom and his sister to live a good life. He wouldn’t want me sad.”
Katelynn expressed her commitment to moving past this guilt as she continues to share her story. She acknowledged feeling closer to achieving that goal and expressed gratitude to her community of more than one million followers across social media platforms for their ongoing support.
Prior to her break, Katelynn had shared multiple videos detailing her grief and its impact on her family life following Preston’s death. She marked six months since his passing with an emotional video reflecting on their first Thanksgiving without him.
When announcing her hiatus on December 26, Katelynn recognized the importance of stepping back from her online presence to focus on her healing. “What I need right now to heal is just to focus on the things that are physically around me,” she said. “I need to focus on my daughter, family, and friends that are around me — and that’s what’s healing for me right now.”
