Millie Bobby Brown did not join her fellow cast members for the private viewing of the Stranger Things series finale on December 26 at the Paris Theater in New York City due to a recent injury. A source reported that the actress, 21, is recovering at home from a dislocated shoulder.
Earlier this month, Brown announced on Good Morning America that she would be unable to appear due to this injury. The insider confirmed that although she could not attend the viewing, she would still watch the finale simultaneously with her castmates through a shared link.

Brown has faced multiple absences related to her injury. She missed an appearance on Good Morning America on December 15, where she explained her situation in a video message, showing her arm in a sling. Additionally, she was unable to attend an event at the Paley Museum in New York City just three days later, with a spokesperson attributing her absence to the ongoing injury.
In an interview following the injury, her co-star Noah Schnapp revealed that he and the cast planned to watch the finale together, expressing feelings of anxiety over the moment. "I’m nervous to watch it," he stated. "Once you watch that, it’s done. That’s the last episode we’re ever gonna watch together."
Schnapp had elaborated on plans to rent out a theater for a cast viewing, acknowledging the emotional weight of the series conclusion. He shared his worries about the finale’s impact, indicating both excitement and sadness at the show’s ending.
The final episode of Stranger Things will air on Netflix on December 31 at 8 p.m. ET, following the release of the first two volumes of season five.
