Lynwood Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Suspect in Home Robbery Incident
Robbery Investigation Underway in Lynwood
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent robbery in Lynwood.
The incident occurred on April 27 at approximately 5:15 p.m., when a woman, who wished to remain anonymous and identified only as Vicki, was tending to her garden on Agnes Avenue. She recounted the traumatic experience, stating, "He pushed me, almost pushed me to the ground, snatched my necklace and took off running. The necklace has been in my family for over 15 years. It was personally made."
Following the robbery, authorities reported that the suspect fled north on Muriel Drive and entered a white SUV, described as a possible Buick Encore. Neighbors have began sharing security footage from Ring cameras; one video, recorded shortly after the incident, shows a figure walking towards Vicki’s home before retreating.
Investigators described the suspect as a young man, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds, likely between 16 to 18 years of age. A lead detective noted that similar robberies have been reported in the area, with the assailant often wearing a mask during the attacks.
Authorities urge residents to remain vigilant, particularly when wearing visible jewelry. Anyone with information related to this case is encouraged to contact the Century Station Detective Bureau at 323-568-4937 or reach out to L.A. Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
