Line Of Duty Producer Welcomes New Development Director
World Productions Welcomes New Leadership Amid Transition
World Productions, the acclaimed producer behind the hit series Line of Duty, has appointed Kathryn Shrubb as Head of Development following the recent departure of Emma Luffingham to Pathé UK.
Shrubb, known for her work on Bad Sisters, will spearhead World Productions’ strategy to transition projects from concept to screen. Her extensive experience includes roles at various independent companies, as well as script editing and development at the BBC for award-winning series like Three Girls, Silent Witness, and Luther. Additionally, Joe Williams, previously associated with Mr Bates vs the Post Office and The Hack, has joined the team as Executive Producer.
Luffingham’s move to Pathé UK as Creative Director TV, where she will report to Faith Penhale, was announced earlier. This transition aligns with Pathé’s ongoing efforts to expand its English-language division.
Simon Heath, head of World Productions, expressed enthusiasm about the new additions. “We’re delighted to welcome Kat and Joe to the World team. They bring with them great credits and reputations, and I can’t wait to see the shows they help to create over the coming years,” he stated.
Looking ahead, World Productions is set to release the much-anticipated seventh season of Line of Duty, one of BBC’s most popular dramas, after years of speculation. The company is also preparing for the third season of BBC’s Vigil, ITV’s The Party, and Netflix’s new series From Brazil.
