Lee Cronin Returns with a New Creepy Tale: A Closer Look at His Upcoming Film, The Mummy
New Line has premiered the first trailer for The Mummy, a supernatural horror film directed and written by Lee Cronin, known for Evil Dead Rise. The film is set to hit theaters and IMAX in North America on April 17, distributed by Warner Bros.
Distinct from Universal’s reboot of its Mummy franchise that featured Brendan Fraser, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy centers on the young daughter of a journalist who vanishes in the desert. Eight years later, her return shocks the already fractured family, as a supposed joyful reunion spirals into a nightmare.
The film’s tagline poses the haunting question, “What Happened to Katie?”
