Actress Laura Dern captivated attendees at the London premiere of her latest film, Is This Thing On?, on Monday, January 19. Dressed in a striking black-and-white ensemble designed by Elie Saab, the outfit featured an embroidered tulle peplum blouse paired with a mermaid maxi skirt, adding a contemporary twist to the classic skirt suit.

The intricately designed blouse showcased a daring plunging neckline, with a lacy black bra subtly visible beneath. Dern complemented her look with a pearl collar and matching drop earrings, her hair styled in soft waves with full fringe. Her makeup accentuated her features with bold black eyeliner, rosy blush, and terracotta lips.

While best known for her prominent acting career, Dern recently ventured into modeling, making her runway debut in the fall of 2025 for Gabriela Hearst’s Spring 2026 collection. In September, Dern was spotted with her daughter, Jaya Harper, at Ralph Lauren’s Spring 2026 show, where they turned heads with coordinating Western attire. Jaya, the youngest child of Dern and her ex-husband Ben Harper, wore a leather fringe jacket with simple black trousers, while Dern opted for a sheer floral dress, complemented by a black belt and matching clutch.

The duo’s memorable appearances have not gone unnoticed, with their recent visit to the Venice Film Festival highlighted by the premiere of Dern’s film Jay Kelly, which garnered a notable 10-minute standing ovation, showcasing the pair’s continuous presence in the spotlight.
